All participants of the meeting were agree that for Nizhny Novgorod Jew need a modern community center. The most part of the working on its creation is already done thanks to local philanthropists and foreign sponsors. But before cutting a red ribbon one should do much. On the second floor we must have halls of a restaurant and a canteen, on the third they plan to make an office for the Youth Club. It is necessary to repair other lodgings of the future Nizhny Novgorod Community Center. The speaking persons were recalling gathering the initial money for needs of the community in the beginning of the nineties. “Many people emigrated: the first did to Israel, the second did to the USA. But those who remained in Nizhny Novgorod soon will see the new Jewish house where there is a place for everyone,” said Eduard Fiyaksel.
Alexander Khinschtein made a declaration that “had been pleasantly surprised by such warm reception.” “When Grigotry Schteiman had invited me here I imagined that our meeting would be absolutely different. But I like this variant undoubtedly more.” Cut Kosher sausage, stuffed fish, fragrant hot dishes, dessert, wines and even vodka made from matzoth – all this helped to create friendly atmosphere in the Jewish circle.
Speaking to the businessmen Mr. Khinshtein promised to do everything possible to do financial aid to the Jewish Community of Nizhny Novgorod for the nearest time.
Having said good-bye to all the participants of the party Alexander Khinshtein went out and promised that “with pleasure will come to the synagogue again.” After his departure nobody was hurry to get home. The consequential guest went out, but the Nizhny Novgorod businessmen toasted more than one lehaim.
